This policy explains how Legal Leaders Society uses information collected through legalleaderssociety.org, our membership and speaker interest forms, and messages sent to our club email. It covers our club’s activities, rather than all services operated by Los Angeles Pierce College.
Information you provide
Our membership form asks for your first and last name and email address. You may also provide your phone number and major or educational focus. Our speaker interest form collects the contact details, background, proposed topic, availability, and other information you choose to submit in its fields. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Please submit only information relevant to club activities. Do not include passwords, financial account details, government identification numbers, or confidential case information.
How we use your information
- Send club meeting, event, and opportunity updates.
- Respond to questions and manage membership communications.
- Review speaker interest and coordinate possible speaking events.
- Plan and administer club activities.
If you voluntarily provide a phone number for club communications, we may contact you by phone or text about club activities.
Who can access it
Club officers responsible for communications and planning may access relevant submissions. Information is stored and processed through Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Gmail. Our hosting provider also processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. We do not publish membership or speaker form responses on this website. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when needed to protect rights, safety, or the security of club services.
Website technology and outside services
The club’s website code does not include advertising trackers or club-operated analytics, and does not set its own cookies. The embedded Google Forms can load Google services before you submit a response. Google and our hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address, browser information, and request details, and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
The website links to Google, Zoom, and Instagram. Those services may collect information when you use them, including information about your activity over time and across services as described in their policies. Our website does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals. Third-party services handle browser privacy signals according to their own policies.
Your choices and requests
You can choose not to submit a form, and optional fields may be left blank. To stop receiving club updates, correct your information, ask about the information we hold, or request deletion, email legalleaderssociety@gmail.com. We may need to verify that a request concerns your own information. We will review requests and explain any records that must be retained for administrative or legal reasons.
Retention and security
We retain submissions for membership communications, speaker planning, and club administration, and review deletion requests individually. We have not established a fixed automatic deletion schedule. We use the access controls available in our service providers to limit access to club records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Children’s information
This website is intended for college students and prospective speakers, and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Policy updates
We will post changes on this page and update the date above. For a material change to how we use submitted contact information, we will also notify affected people through the contact information we have, where practical.
